Elijah is ever so slightly addicted to Leah's farm, a Signing Time episode. So much so that he's constantly asking for it, and when he does get to watch it, he watches it like this -
Yup, he is doing the SPILTS, with his legs flat against the cabinet, craning his neck up to see the TV. And if you look closely, his right arm is also twisted around so his palm is facing up.
Can YOU do that?!?!?

YES!! All 5 of our kiddo's who have Ds can sit like that, of course we highly discourage it since it's not good for their low tone and loose joints. Have y'all tried Hip Huggers? I'm thinking about trying them for our guys. They help keep little legs together. Some of ours even sleep that way but a couple of well-placed safety pins in the legs of their jammies holds those little legs together. Our guys LOVE Signing Time as well!!! We pretty much have the whole series now. Sign language counts as a foreign language so all our kiddo's watch it and we apply it to their homeschooling for credit in foreign language. WooHoo!

Love it. Carter isn't a 'splits' kind of guy....he prefers to cross his legs @ the ankle and twiddle his foot. Also quite cute :)
