How Many?

My oldest daughter, Sarah, wrote this today and used it as a school assignment. Not only do I love homeschooling for this reason, but these lessons she's learned over the past year or so cannot be taught by anyone, just God and the Holy Spirit. I'm so VERY proud of her and advocacy efforts for the orphans of this world.

I pray you will read this and take it to heart. Listen to that still small Voice and let God...

How Many?

By Sarah B.

Faith – Confidence or trust in a person

Love – A feeling of affection, concern, or devotion towards a person

Hope – To trust in or wish for a favorable outcome

Orphanage – A public institution for the care and protection of children without parents

Orphan – A child whose parents are dead (or unable or unwilling to care for the child)

Adoption – The act of adopting or the condition of being adopted
Adopt - To take (a new member) into ones family through legal means and treat as one’s own

Family – A social group consisting of parents and their children

Now, how may orphans have put their faith in you to do all you can to be their family or find them one?

How many orphans need love from you?

How many orphans have given up hope of you ever being their family?

How many orphans sit day after day in a crib in an orphanage without you?

How many orphans are there without having you as their mommy or daddy?
How many orphans need you to be their miracle of adoption?

How many orphans have watched other families come and adopt other children, but you haven’t come for them?

How many orphans need a family? Can you find room in your family for them?
