Before we left, I told you that the vote in Elijah's country that would stop all adoptions in progress, was scheduled for this week. I believe this is the most recent updates. (Summer I totally stole this off your blog. Hope you don't mind. :-))
Good news on the vote. :) It was scheduled for Dec 16 in the morning (before the morning break) and has now been pushed to the week of Dec 21-24 according to the Rada website. I'm hopeful this means they are still working out details and will not implement it in its current form.
As I mentioned before, the Legal Division of EE has recommended the bill be rejected as it will cause conflicts with other areas of the Family Code that are not being changed. Two amendments were filed on Nov 30 but the text of those is not available online.
Please continue to pray that it DOES NOT pass in it's current form! The slight possibility exists that if it passed on the 21st, I would be sent home! (I don't the court decree until the 22nd.) Like I said before, I'm not going to think about that. But more importantly, please pray it doesn't pass for the families coming behind us, and for the KIDS!!! It is those sweet, precious children that would be the biggest losers in this whole thing. God has this! He is bigger than all of this. Praise Him!
Edited to add: I was mistaken in my dates above. I pick up the court decree on the 21st, not the 22nd. Ok, good for me, but please pray for ALL the others.
